Join us for a day jam packed full of drifting competition with both the Grassroots and Evergreen Drift Northwest ProAm championship.

Grassroots is a Top 32 competition that allows cars of power levels to compete on an even footing on the 3/8ths competition course head to head in four round championship series.

The ProAm championship is a grueling five round series of the best drifters in the Northwest competing for a overall purse of $1600 per event and three professional Formula Drift licenses . They duel door to door at 80 miles per hour inches from the wall on the same professional 5/8ths course that Formula Drift uses.

Grandstands are just $10 (under 12 free!)

NW Motive with the help of NW Built are hosting the Forum Meet showoff. For $15 per car/driver you can join the showcase of the cool cars the Northwest has to offer. Please note, due to safety there is no vehicle re-entry allowed for the forum showoff. Walk in re-entry is no problem so grab a ride with a friend who parked outside if needed!

All drivers competing in Grassroots or ProAm competitions must fill out a driver profile to be assigned a season number. Season numbers are first come, first served so reserve your's now. Secure your lucky number before some one else does!

Number registration is avaiable on site but please sign up before the event to make your registration experience faster and less of a hassle the day of the event.

Creating you profile only needs to be done once for the season so if you signed up for round 1 you are in the system and all set for Round #2.

Special Event Notes // 

  • Only drivers, essential pit crew, and volunteers with wristbands will be able to access the hot pit and grid areas for insurance, safety, and security reasons.
  • Do not block the path through the middle of the driver pit area.
  • No re-entry for forum meet vehicles. Cars need to remain parked for the duration of the event to keep the fans safe. Walk in re-entry is no problem!
  • Grandstands parking is in the main lot to the West.

  2. Pay for your entry at the back gate.
  3. Proceed to Grassroots Pit and park. Please use the least amount ofspace possible.
    • Due to limited space, only essential support vehicles will be allowed to park in the pit area in addition to competition cars.
  4. Unload your car and prep it for tech inspection
  5. Go to the Grassroots Tech Inspection Area and pass tech! Don't forget to bring your helmet and pit fire extinguisher.
  6. Go to registration and check in and receive your run group and competition number
  7. Drivers assigned to run group A or B must report to staging by 10:15am
  8. Attend the 10:30 am Grassroots drivers meeting
  9. Wait for your run group to be called for practice runs!

 

ProAm Drivers Roll in Instructions:

  1. Arrive at south back gate no later than 9:30am
  2. Pay for your entry at the back gate.
  3. Proceed to ProAm Pits and park. Please use the least amount of space possible.
    • Only essential support vehicles will be allowed to park in the pit area other than competition cars. Trailers may need to be parked outside the pits.
  4. Unload your car and prep it for tech inspection
  5. Tech inspectors will come to your car in your pit stall. Have your driver gear ready for inspection.
  6. After passing tech go to registration and check in to receive your ProAm windshield banner and doorcard.
  7. Windshield banners and number plates must be installed before taking any runs on course.
  8. Attend the 10:30am ProAm drivers meeting.
  9. Have your car in grid prior to 11am

 

Forum Meet Roll in Instructions:

  1. Use the grandstand gate located to the left of the grandstand.
  2. Once you get to the Forum Meet Parking area the NW Built volunteers will direct you where to park. Remember, pit speed is 10mph or less and we are unable to allow re-entry for forum meet vehicles to keep traffic down. If you need to leave and come back we suggest you hitch a ride with a buddy that parked out in the main parking lot outside the pits.

  3. If coming through the South Gate drive through the Grassroots pit area to get to the Forum Meet Parking
  4. Once you get to the Forum Meet Parking area the NW Built volunteers will direct you where to park.
  5. Remember, pit speed is 10mph or less and we are unable to allow re-entry for forum meet vehicles to keep traffic down. If you need to leave and come back we suggest you hitch a ride with a buddy that parked out in the main parking lot outside the pits.

Exterior Modifications

8.12.1 Two (2) hood pins, equally spaced across the front of hood, are required within 24” of the leading edge of the hood. Additional hood pins, i.e. at the back plane of the hood, are also recommended. The original stock latch must be removed.
8.12.2 All bodywork must be painted or covered, securely latched and/or fastened and not loose in any manner.
8.12.3 Door, quarter and rear window glass must be OEM or clear Lexan with a 3mm minimum thickness and securely bolted in place.
8.12.4 Windshields must be installed and OEM glass or OEM replacement material (i.e. Speedglass) and be free of cracks. Non-glass, replacement windshields must be a minimum 3/16” thickness, be adequately mounted, and have supplemental, vertical bracing made of minimum 16 gauge (.0625”) aluminum and ¾ inch wide, securely mounted down the center of the opening, inside the vehicle.
8.12.5 Cars must have functioning windshield wipers.
8.12.6 Two external, rear-facing mirrors are required, and must be mounted in stock location and must be positioned so that the driver can see objects along both sides of the vehicle.

8.12.7 The outside door latch/lock operating mechanism may be removed or modified. If it is not in the original location, the door must be operable from the exterior and the opening mechanism must be clearly visible and/or marked for access by safety personnel.
8.12.8 All required FORMULA DRIFT and/or other decals or markings must be present in their specified location (see Appendix D). FORMULA DRIFT windshield banners are required. FORMULA DRIFT reserves the right to have any decals, marks, or other items removed or covered at their discretion.

Oil System

Oil storage tanks that are not located in the original position must be surrounded by a 10 mm thick crushable structure. Provided that the oil tank is not located in close proximity to the outer surface of the bodywork, and there is some of the structure of the vehicle between the oil tank and the bodywork, the car’s structure will meet the 10mm crushable structure rule.
If the oil tank is located in the cockpit area, or a trunk area that is open to the driver, it must be separated from the driver by a metal enclosure made up of .036” steel, or .059” aluminum. The floor of the enclosure must be designed to prevent accumulation of fluids.

Engine Cooling System

Cooling system modifications are free but must be fully closed and free of leaks.

A radiator catch tank with a minimum capacity of one (1) quart is required and must be securely fastened and sealed.

If cooling system lines are routed in the driver’s compartment or a trunk area that is open to the driver, they must be separated from the driver by a crushable metal enclosure made up of .036” steel, or .059” aluminum.

The floor of the enclosure must be designed to prevent accumulation of fluids.

Cooling systems shall be filled with water only. “Water wetter” is allowed.

Brake System

The brake system must operate all 4 wheels. Dual master cylinders pedal assemblies are allowed. Hydraulic fluid lines may not have removable connectors located inside the drivers compartment Driver adjustable brake bias is allowed.

The use of secondary brake systems is allowed and is strongly reccomended to be completely separate from the primary system.

Exhaust System

Exhaust system modifications are free, but must exit aft of the rear axle or in the original location and have a manditory minimum of one muffler.

Turbo wastegate pipes may exit anywhere outside of the bodywork.

A maximum noise level of 92db at 75 feet is permitted. There will be no grace period. Cars over 92db will not race. This will be measured.

Interior Modifications

8.11.1 The interior of the vehicle must be clean and professional in appearance. All non-essential and/or loose items must be removed. Any removable equipment such as spare tires, tools, bins, etc., shall be removed along with detachable hardware, brackets and covers

8.11.2 All carpeting and/or sound deadening material must me removed.

8.11.3 The modification of gauges is free.

8.11.5 Supplemental Restraint Systems (SRS) must be removed.

8.11.6 Any steering wheel except wood rimmed types may be used. Any shift knob may be used.

8.11.7 Interior mirror may be replaced with a multi-plane type mirror, but must not extend beyond the confines of the interior.
